| "An Afternoon Walk in Lower Manhattan" |
The morning was mostly taken up with working out again. Another tough, tough work-out with the cute trainer at the local gym. In the early afternoon, I met up with Mitch at the cafe round the corner, and we spent a very pleasant afternoon walking and driving around (mostly) Lower Manhattan. Since I'm exhausted from the combination of the work-out and the walk, just a quick photographic tour today.
Mitch and his friend Vicky walking in Gramercy Square Park. This is a private park open only to residents of the Square in this lovely old neighborhood.
Mitch tells me that the park was inspired by the cute little squares you find all over London, and built in the early 1800s by a man named Samuel B Ruggels.
Mitch and I pretending we weren't being photographed.
The United Nations building. This is a composite of two photos, though I defy you to find the join!
I think this is one of the best compositions I've ever taken in New York. A natural composition, looking West from near the United Nations building.
